STEP UP FOR STUDENTS
In 2001, the Florida Legislature founded the Florida Tax Credit (FTC) Scholarship Program as a way to give low-income families a voice in their children’s education. This innovative program gives dollar-for-dollar state tax credits to corporations with a Florida tax liability as a funding mechanism for the scholarship program. Step Up For Students (SUFS), at present the only state-approved Scholarship Funding Organization, redistributes the funds as K-12 scholarships. The scholarships give parents the opportunity to choose the school that is right for their child. In 2012-13, CCS completed all of the requirements to become qualified to accept SUFS scholarship awards. It has been a blessing to have these students with SUFS awards join our Covenant family this year. CCS will continue to accept students with SUFS awards however, due to CCS’ rigorous curriculum, academic and behavioral expectations remain a part of the admissions process. SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS
For the 2016-2017 academic year, CCS is pleased to offer tuition assistance to need-based students from the Tom Bingham and Coach Richard Post Memorial Scholarship Funds. Applications for these funds will be administered through FAST, a third party organization specifically tailored to the independent school community. They will help the CCS Board of Directors evaluate and consider applicants on an even and unbiased basis. To apply, click on the link below to access the on-line forms. You will also be required to submit hard copies for verification of the information you fill out on-line. We have pre-addressed envelopes in the School Office for your convenience. There is a small application fee of $38.00 payable to FAST, but if that presents a problem for you, please contact our office to see how we can help.
When you begin the application process you will receive additional e-mail correspondence from FAST with detailed instructions of how to proceed, but if you have any questions about the process, please contact the School Office for help.
NOTE: All FAST scholarships have been awarded for the 2017-2018 school year.
