Course Description
Omnibus is a Latin term meaning "all
encompassing." Theology, History, and Literature
are considered in a collaborative effort to gain a full
orbed Christian Worldview. In this course the second
semester of the theological portion of the Omnibus
curriculum will be considered through the study of 6 New
Testament books along with C.S. Lewis's The Screwtape
Letters.
Course Objectives
The purpose of this course is to see students grow in
their appreciation of the unity of all knowledge because
all disciplines are related to and under the Lordship of
Jesus Christ.
Required Textbooks
ESV Bible Omnibus I: Biblical and Classical
Civilizations Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
Course Requirements In Brief
" Students must complete all required reading.
(see attached reading guide) " Students will be
given a daily reading quiz. (2 to 3 per week) "
Students will be given homework assignments which they
are to complete for a grade. " Students will have
sectional memory verse quizzes ( 3 to 4 per 9 weeks)
" Students will be given a sectional test to close
each book of study.
Grading Percentages
7-8th Graders 20% - Reading Quizzes 20% - Homework
Grade 25% - Sectional Scripture Quizzes 35% - Sectional
Test (3 to 4 per 9 weeks)
9-12th Graders 20% - Reading Quizzes 20% - Homework
Grade 20% - Sectional Scripture Quizzes 40% - Sectional
Test (3 to 4 per 9 weeks) **Test for 9-12 will differ
from the 7-8 grade tests
Please Note: The teacher has the right to change or
revise the syllabus, of which, you will be informed if
this happens.
