Meet the Faculty

 Chong
Mrs. Sharyl Chong, Second Grade
Mrs. Chong joined the CCS faculty for the 2014/2015 school year.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and has taught 5 years in a school setting and 6 years homeschooling her children, Brandon and Chaelyn.  She belongs to Eastgate Christian Fellowship and enjoys cooking and reading.
 D Colravy
Mrs. Dawn Colravy, 
Mrs. Colravy graduated from Glasborough State College (now known as Rowan College) in New Jersey with a degree in Communications.  She has been an Activities Director for a nursing home and Marketing Director for a radio station.  In addition to homeschooling her chldren prior to moving to Panama City, she has been a public school substitute teacher.  Dawn and her husband Cory, Pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, have 4 children, Megan, Lexi, Drew and Georgia, all students at CCS.  She is an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and oversees and coordinates many ministries in the church.
 Feitel
Mrs. Angela Feitel, 7th-12th Math Teacher
Mrs. Feitel has been part of the CCS Faculty since 2001.  She has a BS in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and a M.Ed in Leadership/Administration from Florida State University, and is certified to teach Mathematics in grades 6 – 12.  She taught previously in Port St. Joe, Gulf Coast Community College and was a JTPA Work Force Counselor.  She has been married to her husband Jay for 21 years.  The Feitels have 5 children, Joseph, Andrew, Jonathan, Kelly and Emily.  She is an active member of Forest Park United Methodist Church where she is a high school Sunday School teacher.  She loves to read and enjoys fishing and boating with her family.
 Garred
Mrs. Sharon Garrett, PreK – 8th Music
Mrs. Garret joined the CCS staff in 2014 after teaching many years in the public school system.  She has a BA in Music Education and a Music Scholar Award from Gulf Coast Community College.  She has been married for 41 years and has 3 children.  A member of First Church of God, she serves as worship leader and pianist.
 Hagans
Mr. Michael Hagans, 7th – 12th Grades

Mike is from Panama City and graduated from The University of West Florida with a BA in History Education and an MA in History. He teaches Omnibus (History, Literature, Theology), Government, Economics, Psychology, and Sociology at CCS. He has also taught AP Government, AP Western Civ, and AP European History at CCS and has been part of our faculty since 1998. His interests include history, literature, and writing. He is a member of Northside Baptist Church and when he was younger served as a summer missionary in both Washington State and Colorado.  He has worked with teenagers through Sunday School and other ministries since he started college.

 Hermes
Mrs. Suzanne Hermes, Fourth Grade

Mrs. Hermes  is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Adult Education from Texas A&M–Kingsville. Suzanne has taught 4th grade to at-risk children as well as 4th – 6th grade Math, Science and Bible.  She joined the CCS faculty in 2009 after she and her husband Patrick and their three children relocated to Panama City.  The Hermes family belongs to First Baptist Church where she sings in the choir.  She and her husband coordinate the CCS Robotics program.  In her spare time Suzanne loves to read, scrapbook and travel.

 

 Mantooth
Mrs. Georgette Mantooth, Preschool – K4

Georgette has a BA in Early Childhood Education with certification in Middle Grades Special Education.  Previously she was an ESE Middle School Teacher at Surfside Middle School.  She has been married to Jason for 18 years and they have twins–Mary Elizabeth and George who attend CCS.  She belongs to Lynn Haven Methodist and enjoys outdoor activities.

Ms. Belynda Walker, Latin
Ms. Walker has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and began her teaching career at CCS in 1994.  She has taught Pre-school, Kindergarten and made the move to Latin when CCS began the Classical education curriculum.  She is an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she has taught Sunday School and women’s Bible studies.  She has also served in the military where she taught evasion and escape training.  Her daughter Lauren is a CCS graduate and her son Bryan is the CCS Bookkeeper.  In addition to enjoying her granddaughter Esme, her hobby is reading.

Meet Our School Board

Cory ColravyRev. Cory D. Colravy has been the Pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Panama City, FL, since June of 2008.  Growing up south of Chicago in the small farm town of Piper City, Cory grew up in a loving, Catholic family of 6 and graduated from Ford Central High School in 1984.  Not long after graduating from the University of South Florida (Tampa) in 1992 with a B.S. in Business Administration (Economics), Cory married the lovely Dawn Marie Newman from Bricktown, NJ.  They are blessed with four wonderful children:  Megan, Alexis, Andrew and Georgia Grace.  Cory is an Army veteran and graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS.  He was ordained in 2003 and his previous pastorate was with New Life PCA in Tifton, GA.  Cory enjoys reading and spending time with his family, God’s people, and good friends.  He is passionate about the Reformation, our Christian heritage in America, and classical, Christian education.  Other loves in his life are Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, coffee, the Chicago Cubs, and his new wiener dog “Mo.”  Cory serves as the CCS Board Chairman and is constantly amazed at God’s sovereign grace, love and goodness in His life.  To Him be the glory.
Warren KlineWarren H. Kline
 was one of the founders of Covenant Christian School and has served the school in the capacity of Chairman of the School Committee, Assistant Administrator, Upper School Class Facilitator and  as High School teacher for the Omnibus IV class. He is also an Elder Emeritus of Covenant Presbyterian Church where he and is wife, Judy, have attended since 1977.  Warren retired from the US Air Force after serving twenty-two years as a Rescue and Survival technician with combat tours in South East Asia.  After retirement Warren attended and graduated from the University of West Florida with a BSW degree.  For several years he worked in the mental health field before becoming the business manager for DEVCO Enterprises, a company devoted to residential and business construction, electronic repair and the management of rental properties.  In 1990 Warren went to work for the State of Florida retiring, in 2001 as the Program Administrator for the welfare program of six Florida Panhandle Counties.  Since his last retirement he has devoted himself to assisting Covenant Christian School and Covenant Presbyterian Church in achieving their outreach goals.
