General Qualifications

 
Teaching experience is preferred for all positions and experience in classical and Christian education is a plus. Applicants must adhere and agree to CCS’ Statement of Faith and Philosophy.
 

At Covenant Christian School we seek to fill these positions with Christian teachers who love the Lord with all their heart, mind, and soul; who love children; who demonstrate outward spiritual leadership; have a working knowledge of sound classroom management and organizational skills; can plan and work cooperatively across grade levels with other colleagues; and can communicate well with students, parents, and teachers alike. It is preferred that applicants have a Bachelor’s Degree with some classroom experience. Also, applicants who may be unfamiliar with “Classical Education” methods and curriculum should be willing to read and devote time to self-study and teacher inservice training opportunities prior to teaching in the classical and Christian education classroom setting.

Accountability for Misconduct by Instructional Personnel and Administrators

 

All employees and administrators have an obligation to report misconduct by instructional personnel and school administrators which affect the health, safety, or welfare of a student.  Examples of misconduct include obscene language, drug and alcohol use, disparaging comments, prejudice or bigotry, sexual innuendo, cheating or testing violations, physical aggression, and accepting or offering favors.  Reports of misconduct of employees should be made to Glenda Delmar, CCS Principal.  Reports of misconduct committed by administrators should be made to the CCS Board of Directors Chairperson.  Legally sufficient allegations of misconduct by Florida certified educators will be reported to the Office of Professional Practices Services.
